Stress-Free Living

Stress is a fact of life, especially here in our fast-paced high-tech Silicon Valley.  We all experience stress and we all get "stressed out" at times.

Getting "stressed" is no fun, but when being stressed is a constant or too frequent state, it can become dangerous to your health.

Doctors have been tracking the effects of stress on the body for more than fifty years.  They have found that stress can affect any system in your body, leading to emotional problems, stress-related illnesses (illnesses directly related to stress) and worsening other illnesses and disorders (such as cancer and diabetes).

There are three ways to deal with stress-generating situations:

  • Get away from the situation
  • Change the situation
  • Change the way you react to the situation

Of course, one and two are easy.  But, if we could all walk away from or change every stressful situation all the time, no one would be talking about stress as a health issue today.

My work is focused on helping people learn and practice new reactions to stressful situations.

Simple step-by-step procedures for refuting irrational ideas, stopping thoughts, controlling worry, coping, time management, assertiveness, and  quick relaxers make all the difference in the world.  Not only do I teach you how to do things, but with hypnotherapy, I help clients integrate these practices into their life ... helping people take a step beyond knowing they should do these things to actually doing them.

In 2-3 sessions, you can be on your way to stress-free living.

TESTIMONIALS

"It's been incredibly beneficial.  I've learned to relax and control my moods.  When difficult things happen, I can cope with them much more easily.  My whole life has improved and so has my health and outlook. They call me the Mellow Guy now."  -- Allen, Sunnyvale
